Job Summary:


The

Property Manager

is responsible for the day-to-day management of tenant relations and support across various operational functions including administration, security, specialty leasing, marketing, and reporting. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth operation and continued success of Promenade Shopping Centre.

Key Responsibilities:



Collaborate with the management company and ownership group to prepare, monitor, and manage the annual operating budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and operational efficiency. Support leasing and specialty leasing initiatives to help maximize operating cash flow. Assist the Operations Manager with capital planning and building maintenance to minimize unexpected costs and maintain property standards. Lead efforts in accounts receivable collection and help reduce outstanding balances. Contribute to marketing and specialty leasing activities, offering ideas to improve foot traffic and customer engagement. Foster strong tenant relationships through regular communication, excellent customer service, and one-on-one meetings with key tenants. Ensure tenant meetings and customer service programs are in place to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance. Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety regulations. Perform other duties and special projects as required.

Qualifications:



3-5 years of experience in retail, office, or commercial property management (shopping centre management experience is an asset). Must be able to work on-site; this is an in-person position and remote work is not available. Post-secondary education in a related field. Strong leadership and communication skills; experience managing contractors or small teams is an asset. Industry designations (CPM, RPA, or CSM) are an asset or in progress. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Must be able to provide a clear criminal background check.
