Commercial Property Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Commercial Building Manager

to oversee the daily operations of our commercial properties. This role ensures smooth building operations, tenant satisfaction, and compliance with BC building codes and safety standards. You will manage building systems, coordinate maintenance, handle lease obligations, and foster strong tenant relationships.

WORK WEEK:

The Manager will work during regular business hours, Monday to Friday, for 37.5 hours per week (not including a 30-minute unpaid meal break per day). Occasional overtime may be required.

LOCATION:

570 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver. The location for this position may vary based on operational needs. Flexibility to travel between and work at other locations will be required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee property operations, maintenance, and tenant services Create and manage lease agreements, tenant relations, and occupancy changes Coordinate contractors, vendors, and staff Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and company policies Prepare reports, budgets, and operational plans

Qualifications

Property Management Certification 3+ years' experience managing commercial buildings (retail tenant experience an asset) Strong knowledge of BC building codes, fire & safety standards, and WorkSafeBC practices Hands-on experience with building systems, maintenance, and inspections Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs, operate cleaning and lift equipment, and perform building inspections that may involve climbing, kneeling, or extended standing.

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
