We are seeking a highly organized and dedicated Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Crispen Bays, a Manufactured Home Community in Surrey, BC. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong ability to problem solve, and an in-depth understanding of the Manufactured Home Tenancy Act and Regulations. The Property Manager will act as the primary point of contact for residents while ensuring the property is well-managed, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Resident & Management Relations
Serve as the main liaison between residents and senior management.
Provide clear, timely, and professional communication to address resident concerns and ensure community satisfaction.
Administration & Rent Collection
Prepare, issue, and account for monthly rental payments.
Maintain accurate financial records and submit reports as required.
Utilize Microsoft Word and Excel for correspondence, record keeping, and reporting.
Compliance & Legal Knowledge
Apply a deep understanding of the Manufactured Home Tenancy Act and Regulations to manage tenancy matters fairly and legally.
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable laws.
Property Maintenance & Inspections
Schedule and oversee annual property inspections and services.
Coordinate repairs, maintenance, and contractor services to maintain a safe and well-kept environment.
Be available on nights and weekends to handle emergency repair calls and organize the appropriate response.
Problem Solving & Decision Making
Address resident issues, disputes, or operational challenges with professionalism and efficiency.
Provide solutions that balance the needs of residents, management, and property standards.
Qualifications
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills--both written and verbal.
Proven problem-solving ability with sound judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Availability for after-hours emergency calls (nights and weekends).
Knowledge of the Manufactured Home Tenancy Act and Regulations (required).
Prior experience in property management or a related role is an asset.
Pool Operators Certificate, or willingness to compete the course.
