We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Manager. Reporting to the Director of Product Management and Applications Engineering, the Product Manager is a highly influential and critical role within Genesis Motion Solutions (GMS). You will manage our current and upcoming motor products while envisioning new products to enter new markets and product segments, leveraging GMS\' groundbreaking high torque direct drive BLDC motor technologies to position the company for long-term growth. You will work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and other key stakeholders.

This position can be performed remotely in Canada but the ideal candidate would be situated or open to relocating to the Greater Vancouver Area (Langley, BC).

What You Will Do

• Conduct market research to quantify the competitive landscape, market trends, and product opportunities
• Identify and prioritize new products through market research, including writing market requirements for new products, developing businesses cases for new products, and championing the products throughout the company and to the executive team
• Create go-to-market strategies for products including market segmentation and competitive analysis
• Define and develop product strategy, product roadmap, and requirements
• Develop product messaging and positioning; working closely with our marketing, sales, and applications engineering teams to ensure alignment
• Ruthlessly prioritize product features according to data and feedback from internal and external stakeholders
• Develop content for product documentation, data sheets, and marketing material
• Establish a product management practice and introduce product focused thinking within GMS

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in the motion technology industry
• Experience managing products through entire product lifecycles
• Experience bringing a product from zero to launch
• Experience in core product management responsibilities (e.g. P&L, pricing, costing)

What Will Put You Ahead

• Senior level product management experience
• Product management or engineering experience with BLDC motors
• Extensive knowledge of the motion technology industry and its various applications and verticals (e.g. robotics, factory automation , semiconductor mfg equipment)
• Bachelor\'s degree in engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English) with the ability to effectively convey technical information to a variety of internal and external audiences
• High degree of honesty and integrity; courage to say it like it is
• 10% international travel
