We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Responsibilities

Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food storage practices. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Support chefs and cooks with various tasks as required, including cooking simple dishes when necessary. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.

Skills

Strong understanding of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene. Experience in meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Ability to handle food safely and efficiently, ensuring high standards of quality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation tasks. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team. Basic cooking skills with a passion for the food industry is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.55-$19.65 per hour
