Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of food preparation techniques. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall production for our stores.

Responsibilities



Assist in the preparation of products according to established recipes and menu plans. Responsible for the accurate preparation and cutting of chicken according to recipe specifications and quality controls. Perform food handling tasks while adhering to strict food safety guidelines. Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely prep service. Follow proper procedures for storing and labeling food items to minimize waste. Participate in menu planning or improvements based on seasonal ingredients. Ensure all kitchen equipment is clean and properly maintained. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.

Requirements



Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food service within the industry. Familiarity with food safety standards and practices is essential. Experience with meal preparation, catering, and serving is highly valued. Proficient knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen. Culinary experience or formal training is a plus but not mandatory. Must be reliable and able to multitask. Flexible availability is

required

for this position. Ability to carry and lift at least 20kg.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
