We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. This role involves preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
Utilize knife skills for food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
Participate in catering events as needed, providing excellent service to guests
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary
Experience
Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred
Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing an understanding of high-quality food preparation
Proven background in the food industry with hands-on culinary experience
Familiarity with menu planning and meal preparation techniques
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
Experience in catering or serving is beneficial
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
