Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by preparing ingredients, assisting with meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

Prepare and chop ingredients for cooking, including vegetables, meats, and other food items. Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling practices. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared safely and stored correctly. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Support the team during peak hours by ensuring efficient workflow in the kitchen.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry. Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
