We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Responsibilities
Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to menu specifications
Support the cooking process by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed
Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
Assist with food service tasks such as plating, garnishing, and serving when needed
Follow dietary guidelines and assist with dietary department requirements as necessary
Contribute to maintaining a hygienic environment by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and cooking areas regularly
Experience
Previous experience in dietary aide roles or dietary departments is preferred
Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is highly desirable
Familiarity with food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential
Background in restaurant, catering, or food service environments will be advantageous
Culinary experience including knife skills, meal preparation, and food industry knowledge is beneficial
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
