Optima Living operates over 2,200 beds providing congregate living options for seniors. These options range from subsidized to luxury, Independent to Assisted Living, Long-term Care to Memory Care, and Residential Mental Health. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead for finding resolution of technical or functional issues escalated from the payroll team and ensuring all system issues/defects are reported correctly
  • Provide support and guidance for all implementations and go-lives
  • Create/revise/update Payroll Training information; including \xe2\x80\x9chow to\xe2\x80\x9d manuals and training checklists
  • Assist the team in reviewing union contracts and ensuring the payroll system is setup in accordance with CBA stipulations
  • Lead/assist Payroll systems changes and improvements
  • Assist with all reporting to internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist with ensuring payroll systems are set up and reflect the current employee base, including salaries, hourly wages, benefits, etc.,
  • Assist with WCB quarterly remittances and payments
  • Assist with employee queries
  • Assisting in preparations of year-end tax forms/reporting
What you need to succeed:
  • 5+ years of experience processing full cycle payroll with good knowledge of the payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal controls etc.,
  • Ability to thrive in a very busy environment with hard deadlines
  • Designated Payroll PCP
  • Union experience
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Should have strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated implementation/project management and payroll system design experience.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99re friendly, customer focused and can effectively communicate complex concepts with vendors, employees, employee partners and management.
