We are dedicated to saving lives, property, and the environment with our state-of-the-art fire suppression and fire mitigation systems. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for assisting with full cycle payroll services and managing all aspects of employee benefits.
\xc2\xb7 Prepare and process full cycle hourly and salary bi-monthly payrolls, including off-cycle bonus runs, payroll advances, and terminations for both Canadian and US companies in the group.
\xc2\xb7 Administer company Benefits Programs, including employee changes, billings, reconciliations and reporting.
\xc2\xb7 Assist with year-end processing including adjustments and T4 preparation.
\xc2\xb7 Assist with answering the payroll questions and providing excellent customer service and guidance to employees on payroll and benefit related issues.
\xc2\xb7 Maintain payroll systems, personnel files and filing systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all employees, HR and payroll data.
\xc2\xb7 Assist with reviewing, updating, and developing new processes for the payroll group.
\xc2\xb7 Various other duties as required. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience processing payroll and managing group benefits.
\xc2\xb7 Experience with Sage 50 is required.
\xc2\xb7 Experience with large volume payroll processing in a multi-province environment.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of federal and provincial tax and labour regulations.
\xc2\xb7 Experience processing US payrolls an asset.
\xc2\xb7 Deadline driven with the ability to work OT when needed.
\xc2\xb7 ADP Payroll and Jotform experience an asset but not required. Skills & Knowledge: \xc2\xb7 Effective problem-solving skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload with flexibility.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
\xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
\xc2\xb7 Proficient in an MS Windows environment.
