The patient experience coordinator (PEC) is a self starter that is available to meet any needs for the patients of our hearing clinic. The PEC is a crucial position for our office. Their duties include but are not limited to scheduling appointments, answering phones, printing letters, processing payments/doing billing, checking email, and opening and closing office. The patient experience coordinator is the liaison between the patient and our Hearing Instrument Specialists. This person should be someone patients trust to get them answers but that also enforces the policies of the office while providing excellent service! This person also must be able to handle high stress situations and be able to multitask several things at one time.
Responsibilities
Greet patients with warm, friendly smile and make them feel comfortable
Support special promotions, marketing campaigns, and symposiums
Patient billing (WSIB, VAC, ADP, Extended Healthcare Plans, Private)
Coordinate with doctors, nursing homes, other healthcare providers
Conduct hearing aid cleanings and product maintenance
Keeper of Patient Schedule; office and patient flow
Answers phones, requests online reviews, respond to emails, invite to activities
Scans patient paperwork, invoices, and documents into patient charts
Maintain Office Supplies, Inventory, and Hearing Device Supplies
Manage patient repairs; including document, shipping, and receiving
Stocks office area with promo material/ magazines/ symposiums/ etc.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a receptionist or similar work in health care
You are compassionate, with a positive and outgoing personality and great communication skills
You love to learn. You have a growth mindset and are passionate about growing your knowledge and skills, being the best you can be
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
You have a "Can-Do" attitude and a positive approach
We are seeking a dedicated individual for a full time temporary position, with an immediate start. This role is expected to continue through to the end of August.
