Stevans Commercial Interiors ("Stevans") is hiring a reliable, detail oriented Part Time Bookkeeper to manage day to day accounting operations, with a strong focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable and daily journal entries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, keeping clean records, and supporting a growing company with accurate financial reporting. The role is approximately
2 to 3 days per week
, with consistent ongoing work.
Role Description:
Accounts Payable and Recieveable:
Enter and manage vendor bills and customer invoices
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Track receivables, deposits, and support collections
Match purchase orders to invoices
Banking and Reconciliations:
Perform weekly bank and credit card reconciliations
Ensure transactions are accurately coded
Reporting and Month End Support:
Support month end close and clean financials
Prepare basic financial summaries as needed
Maintain organized records for year end and external accountant
Support HST filings and reporting
General Bookkeeping:
Maintain an accurate chart of accounts
Track expenses by project and vendor
Keep digital records organized and current
Required Skills and Experience:
2 plus years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop
Solid understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and cash flow
High attention to detail and accuracy
Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines
Clear communication and professionalism
Nice to Have:
Experience with distribution, inventory, or project based businesses
Familiarity with large projects, detailed purchase orders and vendor pricing
Experience supporting Canadian tax and HST requirements
Work Schedule and Location
Part time, approximately 2 to 3 days per week
On site in Brantford, with some flexibility once established
Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
