The role of the Optical Manager is to ensure the effective delivery of eye health care services and products. Their role is to ensure and optimize day-to-day smooth operation of the practice and to respond effectively and positively to the needs of patients and their team. The Optical Manager must have exceptional interpersonal, communication, leadership and time management skills.
Duties are not limited to) the following:
Exceptional knowledge and skill for all responsibilities of an Optician and Optometrist assistant
Advanced knowledge on processing returns, redos, reverse invoices, override pricing and invoice adjustments
Inventory management for contact lenses, spectacle frames, spectacle lenses and optical supplies
Ensuring all equipment is running smoothly
Assisting your team with decision making and problem solving
Scheduling monthly one-on-one meetings with each of your team members
Oversee all dispensary orders, returns, redos, warranties and credits
Ensure team members are keeping up with their assigned tasks
Lead training and onboarding for team members
Prioritize work culture, training and leadership
Effectively coordinate and manage delegated tasks
Provide management with insights on policies, procedures, processes and ideas for growth
Assist with implementing old and new processes, programs, promotions and policies
Communicate with mall security or landlords and management when applicable
Manage inter-clinic communications
Requirement:
Registered optician with the college of Opticians
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
