We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator - Accounting & Payroll to manage daily financial and administrative tasks. This role will support our operations by handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and employee health benefits, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
This is a term maternity leave position but would like to start orientation and training as soon as possible.
Duties
Process accounts payable and receivable, including data entry, and payment follow-ups.
Prepare, review, and process weekly payroll in compliance with Nova Scotia labour standards.

Administer employee health and benefits plans, including enrollments and updates.
Maintain accurate financial and employee records.
Assist with financial reporting as required.
Communicate with vendors, clients, and employees regarding accounts and payroll.
Support general office administration, filing, and documentation.
Maintaining a clean working environment
Requirements
Proven experience in an office or administrative role with a focus on organizational skills,
Preparing Accounts payable and Receivable
Secondary education in business or similar field.
Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounting and other office management software
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients
Experience with payroll processing and bookkeeping practices
Familiarity with human resources foundations
allocating health benefits and keeping up to date files on employees.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
Experience with filing systems and clerical duties in an office setting
