Our core services include project financing as well as Industrial and Commercial mortgage loans as well as construction funding selectively. We are currently looking for a Mortgage Administrator to join our growing team. The Mortgage Administrator will assist in managing the office as well as handling all aspects of mortgage administration and fund administration including investor relations for both syndication and our mutual fund trust. Responsibilities * You will be required to prepare and make bank deposits, transfers, payments and bulk investor payments as well as other banking responsibilities. * Working closely with other administrators and accounting personnel where you will also oversee compliance as required from time to time including use of \xe2\x80\x9cThe Mortgage Office\xe2\x80\x9d loan administration software where you will be required to maintain current working knowledge of the program, as you will be utilizing it on a daily basis. * Actions in The Mortgage Office include but are not limited to, entering commercial loans and term details, property details, insurance policies, creating monthly billing statements, applying borrower monthly interest payments, processing monthly distribution payments to investors, preparing discharge statements, etc. * Microsoft Excel is used frequently to assist with preparation of statements of advance, construction advance statements, tracking investor participation and their principal investment deposits at syndicated loan closings. * Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to investor relations to the extent of answering questions relating to current offerings, investor account information and updates, marketing and communication to investors as well as mortgage originator\xe2\x80\x99s and other sources of business. We currently use Constant Contact for our marketing and investor updates. * Role is integral to the smooth management of the entire office and will also include insuring that office supplies, materials and office equipment are maintained from time to time. * Role will also require to attend office meetings from time to time and liaison with borrowers and mortgage originators in order to ensure thorough loan administration for the term of the loan * Duties to also include being familiar with First Source Fund subscription agreements and third party/indirect investor platform in order to enter purchases, redemptions, file with the OSC (Ontario Securities Commission) and apply monthly distributions. The Mortgage Office will be the main software program to administer the Fund. Qualifications * 2+ years experience in a similar role * Strong sense of Customer Service * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and certain cloud service software such as DocuSign * Strong writing skills for correspondence with borrowers/investors etc. * At least one year experience in The Mortgage Office (TMO) or similar mortgage administration software is preferred * Registered as a Dealing Representative for Exempt Market Securities (preferred but not mandatory) * Attention to Detail is a must
