We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office by providing exceptional administrative support. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, along with experience in various office functions. The Medical Office Assistant will be responsible for managing front desk activities, assisting with human resources tasks, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities



Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression of the office. Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling multi-line phone systems. Maintain patient records through effective filing and clerical practices. Assist with bookkeeping tasks, including payroll processing and vendor management using QuickBooks. Support human resources functions such as training & development for new staff members. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient office operations and patient care delivery. Implement organizational systems to enhance workflow and productivity within the office. Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and vendors, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Participate in budgeting processes as needed to support office financial management.

Experience



Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role is preferred. Supervising experience is a plus, showcasing leadership capabilities within a team environment. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software is desirable for bookkeeping tasks. Strong clerical and administrative experience is essential for managing daily operations effectively. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with patients and colleagues professionally. Organizational skills are critical for maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
