Job Description

Matrix is recruiting a Manufacturing Manager to work out of our client’s Bow Island Manufacturing Facility in support of their modular construction projects throughout western Canada and the USA.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, assess, improve and document current manufacturing processes and efficiencies in direct input, team-coordinated fashion.
• Develop and implement processes to meet and exceed production and quality targets.
• Monitor staff performance and engage directly in performance improvement.
• Mentor and train employees on continuous improvement tools, strategies, techniques, and individual efficiency improvements.
• Working with the team, recruit staff to meet production targets.
• Advise senior management team on growth strategies to maximize current facility.
• Advise senior management team on factory expansion and automation advancements.
• Continually improve the company’s manufacturing best practices and tools.
• Other duties as reasonably requested.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5-10 years of previous experience in manufacturing management.
• Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others.
• Experience managing multiple project schedules and budgets.
• Computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Projects, Smartsheet).
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to interpret and understand construction drawings and related documents.
