Job Overview

We are looking for a Manual Machinist Apprentice to join our team (1st or 2nd year preferred, but we're also open to training new machinists). The right candidate should have good mechanical skills and an interest in learning how to work with machining tools and equipment. This role includes setting up and running manual machines to make precision parts, while making sure quality standards are met at every step.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, and other machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to determine machining specifications. Use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy of machined parts. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. Collaborate with team members to produce high quality parts. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment. (or mechanically inclined) Strong mechanical knowledge with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with CNC machinery is a plus but not required. Ability to read technical documents such as blueprints and CAD drawings. Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts. A commitment to maintaining safety standards in the workplace.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
