As CNC/Manual Machinist, you must be able to
The Machinist manufactures quality machined parts from drawings, meeting required tolerances and specifications, and optimizing production quality and efficiency.
Operate CNC machinery to manufacture quality parts (Hass VF-2 with 4th axis and Hass SL-20 with live tooling and Haas ST25 with Y-axis with live tooling);
Manually machine and manufacture quality precision parts (manual lathe and mill);
Monitor and maintain machinery and tools, troubleshooting as required;
Accurately complete required documentation.
What makes you an asset to our team:
You will be a Journeyman/Red Seal Machinist (we are willing to accept a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentice, and will pay for Red Seal Certification for qualified candidate);
You will have a minimum of 2-10 years' experience as a Machinist;
You are able to correctly read and interpret blueprints and interpret technical manuals;
You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in machining quality components;
You have the ability to manage complex machining tasks with a high level of productivity and accuracy;
You have experience with Mastercam programming and machining small parts;
You excel in working well under pressure and managing demanding timelines;
You are an effective team player and take a collaborative approach;
You can demonstrate knowledge of properties of materials and tools, machining practices, production processes, and quality control.
Ability to work extended hours, possible shift work, and occasional weekends.
Hourly wage $27.00-$37.00 depending on experience.
