Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to inform, inspire and drive employee connection to Nestl\xc3\xa9\xe2\x80\x99s priorities, initiatives, and key brand launches. As a member of the Corporate Affairs team, the Internal Communications Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication initiatives and provides strategic communication support to the Executive Team.


A day in the life of the Manager, Internal Communications:


Manages internal communication and employee engagement to drive business results in a dynamic environment:

  • Works with Director of Corporate Communications to develop and implement an internal communication strategy and plan to inform, motivate and engage employees within Nestl\xc3\xa9 about company priorities and initiatives
  • Plans, manages and executes activities to support promoting Nestl\xc3\xa9\xe2\x80\x99s hybrid culture
  • Manages and produces monthly CEO webcast and key corporate communications (i.e. Company Roadmap, financial results communications, etc.)
  • Manages and supports execution of various internal events including brand events, Connect days, Town Hall meetings, Leader Forum and Nestle Next (annual kick-off)
  • Works closely with internal functions (i.e. IT, Supply Chain) to ensure employees are aware of key initiatives, changes etc.
  • Creates awareness and excitement of new product launches \xe2\x80\x93 works with brand teams to create internal brand love
  • Works closely with factory managers to ensure consistent corporate messaging and events are held at our two factories in Toronto and London
  • Partners with CSV Communications Manager and External Communications Manager to ensure all relevant content is shared internally with employees



Manages Human Resources communication across the company:

  • Works with Human Resources to ensure communication from Human Resources supports and enables employees to perform at their highest level for business success and personal development.
  • Manages and develops communications to increase awareness and success of HR initiatives including Learning & Development opportunities, employee benefits, health & wellness etc.
  • Supports team to promote Nestl\xc3\xa9 as an employer of choice both internally and externally



Manages Internal Communications Channels:

  • Works with Director of Corporate Communications to develop and manage a channel strategy
  • Continuously evolves and improves the effectiveness of existing and new communication tools such as Workplace, the NEST (intranet), company events, webcasts, communiques, presentations, etc.
  • Provide back-up support to CA team as required.
  • Works closely with CSV Communications Manager and External Communications Manager to ensure all relevant content is shared internally with employees



What will make you successful?

  • Completion of a Certificate or University Degree in Communications or Public Relations
  • 7 years of communications experience including managing corporate internal communications, employee engagement, executive communication support and change management communications.
  • Competencies must include business acumen, approachability, excellent judgment, excellent writing skills, strong storytelling abilities, great interpersonal skills, solid knowledge of strategic communications planning, execution and measurement within internal communications and events management.
  • Must be proactive, service and detail-oriented as well as able to handle multiple priorities/deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
