Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to join our Culture Stream.

You will be reporting directly to the Director of Employer Brand and support our Culture stream by building a world-class employee experience through sophisticated communications strategies that foster a deep sense of inclusion and belonging and helps our team members feel a deep sense of connection to our mission, to our brand promise, and to each other.

You will partner across the business with our events lead, our external comms team, marketers, executives and others to bring our mission to life and to ensure that your work, our culture, and the BenchSci story echoes externally in a way that attracts a diverse array of top talent to our organization.

You won\'t just lead communications, but you\'ll also lead our thinking on how to improve the systems and processes for how we communicate with one another, including internal emails, newsletters, executive presentations, Slack channels, and more. With a growing, remote-first organization, this role will have an opportunity to make a tremendous impact on the organization while having meaningful leadership visibility.

You Will:

• Lead our strategy for how best to use internal communications to shape and strengthen our culture
• Write and develop messaging around various topics, including organization and company strategy, priorities, product launches, HR programs, and announcements
• Proactively identify opportunities and develop new internal communications programs and improve our processes for more proactive, clear and succinct communications
• Find creative ways to produce and tell stories across existing channels
• Work with internal stakeholders, including our DEI team, HR, engineering, product, IT teams, and global counterparts, to create content to ensure employees are informed, inspired, and empowered to do the best work of their lives
• Shape our employee connection strategy, including partnering with our events lead to define and shape connection moments, remote events,
• Partner to manage corporate all hands events
• Inspire and empower BenchSci employees to become strong brand ambassadors
• Serve as a trusted advisor on internal communications best practices

You Have:

• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Communications, Marketing, PR, Journalism, or a related field
• 7+ years of in-house or agency experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, prioritizing clarity & brevity in all communications
• Passion for creating a strong, engaging culture companywide
• Experience working with client and stakeholder groups across the organization, including C-suite executives
• A growth mindset: with a thirst for learning and a constant desire to improve your work
