Permanent Full Time-We are looking for a Manager, Application Delivery & Support.Our Investment line of business is looking to hire a Manager, Application Delivery and Support in the Real Estate division. Reporting to the Director, Application Delivery and Support, the successful candidate will have responsibility for 4+ direct reports. They will participate in the orchestration of a technology budget that includes delivery of new technology solutions and support of existing solutions to enable achievement of key business outcomes.   • Build partnerships with stakeholders in the Real Estate business organisation and Canada Life Digital Technology for the purpose of understanding and bringing together business and technology direction.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders by proactively building relationships to understand the business\' current state, short and long-term priorities.

  • Participate in the development of tactical and strategic technology roadmaps, collaborating directly with business partners and architects.
Deliver results
  • Enable execution of projects and large work packages across on-premise and 3rd party cloud products. Implement, maintain, and enhance applications and technology.
  • Ensure application availability and resource utilization is aligned with current and future support needs.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of application support, making recommendations on maintenance of application health and effectiveness based on assessments produced by your team and other teams.
  • Support business stakeholders by coordinating incident management activities of your team and acting as an escalation point to engage other Canada Life teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Continue to learn and grow, staying current on industry technology direction and best practices.
What you will bring
  • College or University education in business, finance, or technology is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of technical development and/or technology support experience in progressively responsible roles.
  • Minimum one year experience in a team leadership role in an I.S. (information services) environment with demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Customer-focused and service-oriented with demonstrated service management skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively to a non-technical audience.
  • Knowledge of operational processes and required tools for technology management processes such as Service Requests, Incidents, Problems, and Change Management.
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing and implementing procedures and metrics reporting.
  • Skilled in time management, practical thinking, detailed analysis, negotiation, adapting to stress, and solving problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare communications and interact effectively with all levels, technical and non-technical within the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying areas of operational improvement (for example: people, process, technology).
Location and Other Particulars
  • Candidate must work/live in Canada.
  • Available to alter working hours (at times, based on specific circumstances) to accommodate collaboration with peers, business partners and leadership teams that are located across Canada in centres such as Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Toronto.
  • Available for intermittent travel within Canada.
-The base salary for this position is between $74000 - $ 137000 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
