Production Engineering provides support for applications and technology platforms used by TD Securities (TDS) and Treasury Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) users. Primary accountabilities include managing service requests, incident management, customer communications, and support for change & release management.

The department\'s goal is to provide timely and knowledgeable support for TDS & TBSM applications and technology services. This comes from managing issues efficiently in coordination with key stakeholders, all while managing associated risks through effective communication.

Job Requirements

  • Graduate Degree Preferred.
  • 10+ years of Production Application Support / Production Engineering Experience.
  • Business and Technology knowledge of Treasury Balance Sheet Management.
  • Experience with Risk Management technology and systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in ITIL or other IT Services management framework.
  • Strong problem-solving skillset and aptitude to engineer solutions in real-time for complex situations in a high-pressured environment.
  • Strong Communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Hands-on experience in dealing with various technology areas including infrastructure, networks, trading venues, monitoring and observability tools.\xef\xbb\xbf\xef\xbb\xbf
  • Engineering leadership experience within SRE, DevOps, DevSecOps, Containerization, Kubernetes, traditional enterprise platforms and applications modernization with container as a service.
  • Good experience building teams and collaborating with different technology teams to deliver customer centric results
  • Ability to direct and manage multiple, broad and highly complex global teams (can be groups of up to 50 technology professionals) and/or projects which are diverse in scope.
  • Strength in setting direction at an operational level, works autonomously in the management of the unit and collaborates with other business heads to establish and execute on common goals.
  • Readiness to direct the development of problem resolutions, plans and strategies for operational improvement/advancement.
  • Confidence and experience serving as a key point of contact internally and externally.
  • Leadership in growing team expertise to align with demand and TD\'s business and technology direction. assess team capabilities, proactivity in identifying ways to provide and enhance value delivered.
  • Interest and drive to enhance knowledge/expertise by staying abreast of industry and business trends.

About This Role

We are looking to hire Senior IT Manager who has strong understanding of TBSM (Treasury Balance Sheet Management) and TD Securities businesses and products including hedging and risk platform. The candidate will run multiple teams of IT professionals in providing a range of application support and services ensuring enterprise operating standards are met and business objectives are achieved.

Here\'s some of what you may be asked to perform:
  • Manage the production support including systems, applications, and services for a range of clients to support them in meeting business objectives and goals.
  • Oversee incident investigations to find root causes, then put high-quality remediation plans into action.
  • Manage relationships with delivery teams and partners, hold regular service delivery reviews.
  • Drive and manage a highly effective controls environment covering change management, production implementation, compliance and audit controls, and business continuity.
  • Full understanding of Capital Markets Product life cycle including Risk, Accounting and P&L.
Excellent understanding of Application life cycle and Application onboarding process into production. * Well-versed in the on-prem, co-located as well as modern cloud native technologies and nextgen technology stacks.
  • Ensure scheduled changes take place with proper testing, monitoring and implementation, at minimal business risk.
  • Work with technology partners to ensure environment modifications interact appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed and meet performance requirements.
  • Understand and identify opportunities to improve support costs (people, infrastructure, applications).
  • Lead effort to test, debug, performance analyze and document environment components.
  • Monitor service levels, set targets, take action.
  • May monitor and coordinate operating schedules and priorities for all application-related incidents to ensure effective and efficient operations support and maintenance.
  • Focus on process improvements to lower operational, reputational and proprietary risks.
  • Ensures operations training documentation is current and readily available.
  • Follow process management discipline for change management of all systems managed.
  • Continuously improve delivery promptness while balancing quality and price.
  • Provide coaching, development, succession, recruitment, resource management, team leadership, input into performance and development plans.
