Job Description



Armour Transporttaion Systems has an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Customer Service Department as a logisitics Customer Service Representative. This position will report to the Logistics Manager and is based out Dartmouth, NS.

Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive customer orders, prepare corresponding documentation and ensure shipping accuracy
  • Prepare shipping documents (eg, BOLs, labels, pick slips, checklists) for warehouse team
  • Ensure accurate receiving of customer product
  • Rectify problems such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance as they occur
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and resolve issues or concerns
  • Update spreadsheets and prepare reports to send to clients on a routine basis
  • Prepare, record and communicate client invoices
  • Act as the liaison between the customer and the warehouse
  • Enter shipping & receiving information into the warehouse management system (Logimax & Truckmate)
Essential Competencies
  • Previous customer service work experience within a warehousing, logistics, or transportation industry considered an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to balance multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and preparing basic reports
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced customer-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • A high volume of communication, including via email and phone.
Technical Skills:
  • Experience and understanding of the TruckMate System are considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, with the ability to prepare reports in Word and Excel.
  • Strong typing and computer skills.
