POSITION: LINE COOK / PREP COOK - PROFESSIONAL KITCHEN

Job Overview
The Line Cook/Prep Cook plays a critical role in the execution of our kitchen operations. You will be responsible for delivering consistent quality, maintaining strict mise en place discipline, and supporting the brigade during high-volume service. This position is suited for cooks who take their craft seriously, understand the demands of a professional kitchen, and are motivated by continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Execute prep and cooking tasks with accuracy, following established recipes, standards, and techniques.
Maintain consistency in flavor, texture, timing, and presentation across all dishes.
Uphold the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and workstation organization at all times.
Manage ingredients, storage, rotation, and inventory with attention to detail.
Assist with plating, garnishing, and final dish assembly during service.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment with professionalism and care.
Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining focus, discipline, and a calm attitude.
Communicate clearly and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and timely service.
Follow all internal protocols, operational procedures, and quality expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a line cook, prep cook, or similar role in a professional kitchen.
Strong understanding of food safety principles and proper food handling techniques.
Solid knife skills and familiarity with professional kitchen equipment.
Ability to perform with consistency and speed in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a kitchen brigade.
Knowledge of classical and modern cooking methods, mise en place discipline, and plating standards.
A genuine passion for culinary craft and continuous growth.

Experience or demonstrated interest in:
Fermentation and dough science
Italian regional cuisine
Charcuterie and cured meats
French cuisine fundamentals and sauce work
Pastry and dessert production

Pay: $18.00-$24.13 per hour
Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
