We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing our guests with exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety standards
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure the safety of all dishes served
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning equipment and utensils
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for handling food
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Familiarity with various cooking techniques, equipment, and kitchen tools
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience in the food industry or related kitchen experience is preferred
A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn new skills within the kitchen
