Leagues Coordinator

Reporting to the Managers of Operations at SSC, this Leagues Coordinator (LC) position will have a direct impact on our players and have a pivotal role in assisting with behind-the-scenes league management tasks. This role is key to supporting the achievement of our overall organizational goals and ensuring we offer the best Adult Recreational Sports leagues across Alberta. The LC will manage the Event Coordinators Program, overseeing our player volunteers and head trainers while assisting with league administration items, customer service and office administration.
Responsibilities & QualificationsStart Date: June 2023 Hours: Full-time hours (40 hrs/wk) Monday ? Friday. Office shifts will be between the hours of 8:30 am and 7:00 pm. During season start-ups (January, April, July, and September) some over-time and weekend work will be required.
Event Coordinator (EC) Program:
Recruit player volunteers to represent the SSC at the gyms/fields
Coordinate and host training sessions for new ECs each season
Be on-call during EC shifts (evenings after office hours and weekends). Typically, after the first week of the season, you can expect an average of 1-3 calls per week.
Manage equipment and supplies, daily announcements and overall program
League & Office Administration:
Manage incoming league registrations, scores and league standings
Assist in creating, posting and communicating league schedules
Complete all necessary back-end tasks relating to developing and running successful leagues
Provide gold star customer service in-person, over the phone and via email
Manager of League Operations (MLO) Support:
Assist MLO in day-to-day management of office and league administration duties
Provide a high level of support to the Leagues Administrative team
Collaborate directly with MLO on league initiatives and development of processes
Experience:
University or College degree
Full-time work experience in an office setting or leadership role is an asset
High level of computer competence with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Compensation Package Salary:
$51,000 + benefits
