Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced

Lawn Cutting Lead Hand

to oversee and participate in daily lawn maintenance operations. This hands-on role involves leading a small crew to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and has strong leadership and communication skills.

Duties:

Lead and work alongside the lawn maintenance crew on residential and commercial properties. Operate and maintain lawn cutting equipment (zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.). Ensure jobs are completed on schedule and to Distinct Landscape Group's standards. Communicate with Operations Manager and clients as needed to clarify job details or address concerns. Train and mentor new crew members on equipment use and company protocols. Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all safety guidelines and policies. Record job details and timesheets accurately

Skills:

2+ years of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance, with 1+ year in a leadership role preferred. Proficient in the use of commercial lawn care equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (G class required, G2 considered with experience). Ability to lead by example and manage a small team effectively. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
