Project Summary:

We are currently hiring multiple Junior IM/IT Specialists for a testing and evaluation centre.

The centre provides independent and expert test and evaluation in the following areas: Information and Communication Systems (ICS), Marine Systems (MS), Combat and Control Systems (CCS), & Testing and Infrastructure Support (TIS).

Responsibilities:

• Establishing, monitoring and maintaining radio frequency communication systems
• Operating and maintaining global satellite telecommunications systems
• Transmitting, receiving and storing all incoming and outgoing messages
• Managing and coordinating information systems security across platforms and fleets
• Designing, installing and operating wide-area-networks, computer systems and associated devices
• Performing network system administration, maintenance and training and manage network security
• Installing applications, troubleshooting user problems and providing training and assistance with use of computer hardware and software
• Writing programs to collect and distribute data for a variety of applications
• Ensuring the proper security and handling of communications materials, systems and equipment
• Performing diagnostics and data recovery operations and maintaining logs

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must currently hold or be eligible for a Secret (Level II) Clearance with the Government of Canada
• Either A, B, C or D

• A:

• Six (6) months of work experience in a related IM/IT field within the last three (3) years, AND
• University undergraduate degree in computer engineering or computer science
• B:
• One (1) year of work experience in a related IM/IT field within the last five (5) years, AND
• Two (2) year College level certificate in computer science or equivalent

• C:

• One (1) year of work experience in a related IM/IT field within the last three (3) years, AND
• Successful completion of an IM/IT course with a minimum of six hundred (600) hours of instruction and assignments
• D:
• Three (3) years of work experience in a related IM/IT support field within the last five (5) years

Location: Lasalle, QC, Victoria, BC, & Halifax, NS (On-Site)
