The principal role of the Junior Emissions Specialist is to support our various clients in their mission projects and regulatory reporting needs. Expectations

Key Responsibilities

• Work with clients to support emissions reporting projects for operations across Western Canada such as:
  • BC Drilling and Production Regulation
  • BC Greenhouse Gas and Industrial Reporting and Control Act (GGIRCA)
  • BC Fugitive Emission Guidelines
  • AER Directive 60
  • AER Directive 39
  • Technology Innovation and Emission Reduction (TIER)
  • Alberta Emission Inventory Report (AEIR)
  • Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP)
  • Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act (GGPPA)
  • National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI)
• Analyze emissions data collected against applicable regulatory requirements, prepare final reports in effective and actionable format
• Understand Intricate\xe2\x80\x99s software product (Intricate Solutions) to manage projects and report on emissions
• Review and QA/QC data before it is reported
• Support field execution activities
• Support third party verification audits
• Maintain excellent client relations to ensure client\xe2\x80\x99s business needs and objectives are being met
• Ensure a high quality of work and hold team accountable to ensure all processes are followed

Qualifications
Qualifications / Experience

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Engineering or Environmental Science
• 1-3 years experience in air emission quantification and reporting
• Working knowledge of air emissions reporting requirements in Western Canada
• Basic knowledge of oil & gas field activities and operations
• Technical writing skills with an aptitude for data manipulation required
• Industry related certification and/or work experience (GHG related education an asset)
• Skilled at Microsoft office products
• Ability to interpret technical data as it relates to regulatory compliance

Additional Information
This position is primarily remote, however the successful candidate will be required to meet with our clients at their offices in the Calgary area as required.
