Your Opportunity:The Clinical Information System (CIS) program referred to as Connect Care, is empowering Albertans to take ownership of their own health and care by giving them and their care providers increased access to their own health information, anywhere in the province. As an IT Analyst II, HIM Records Management Administrator, assigned to the Connect Care program, you will play an essential role in the transformation of the Connect Care organization goals and objectives, serving as a liaison between the software provider - Epic and AHS to ensure that deliverables meet both technical requirements and business needs. The IT Analyst Il will have a key responsibility of working with the project team from a design and configure perspective, resolving complex technical problems, and ensuring reliable operation of information systems. You will become Epic certified and act as a subject matter expert within the HIM Records Management modules which include Audit Trails, Chart Correction, Chart Tracking, Coding, Deficiency Tracking, Faxing, Identity, Patient Confidentiality, Reporting, ROI, Scanning, Storyboard, User Security and Transcription. This assignment may require travel to training in the US and within Alberta.Description:As an IT Analyst II, you will provide technical support related to information technology applications either directly to users of the systems or to service delivery functions. You will ensure reliable operations of information systems, resolve complex technical problems, find solutions to customer needs, and lead projects and program initiatives. You will be responsible for more advanced application, telecom or technology support duties. You will investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex problems that have typically been escalated several levels before assignment to this position, and will translate business requirements into technical requirements for a solution and recommend a potential approach to the vendor. You will analyse the solution provided to ensure that it fits both technical requirements and business needs. You will also spend time on project or initiative leadership and delivery.

Required Qualifications:Completion of bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent. Additional Required Qualifications:This position is required to configure the Epic platform. Qualifying applicants, who do not currently have Epic status or have not already passed the aptitude test will be required to pass an aptitude test designed by Epic as part of the recruitment process. Candidates with scores that meet the acceptable standard may move forward to the next step of the recruitment process.
