Minimum Requirements:
Five or more years of Instrumentation maintenance experience in a large industrial facility.
Valid Alberta Journeyman Instrumentation Technician Certificate and Journeyman Electrical Interprovincial Red Seal; attach your Journeyman / Red Seal tickets with your application to be considered.
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
A valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and a clean driving record
A deep understanding of maintenance and operations and ability to read and interpret equipment specifications, engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables.
DCS and PLC knowledge and ability to troubleshoot effectively with Automation.
Trouble shooting of VFD, UPS, MCC and switchgear systems in a industrial setting.
Key Accountabilities:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide spectrum of instruments including many types of process analyzers, a wide range of process control equipment, radar level, nuclear level, and flame detection interfacing to an advanced automation control system.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems from low to high voltage while maintaining the highest level of safe work practices.
Maintain, test, and ensure the functionality of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and associated Emergency Shutdown (ESD) equipment.
Implement preventative and predictive programs/assignments for instrumentation systems.
Participate in root cause analysis discussions including working closely with other maintenance and/or production technicians as required to ensure equipment/plant reliability.
Build an atmosphere of continuous improvement, centered on safe work practices, procedures, and standards.
Enter work history into the CMS and use the system to report deficiencies.
Location & other key details
You will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta\xe2\x80\x99s Athabasca region, 90 kilometers north of Fort McMurray, Alberta.
The shift schedule is a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation (12-hour shifts)
You will be on a Fly-In-Fly-Out Rotation from one of the approved hubs of Edmonton or Calgary or a Bus-In-Bus-Out of Fort McMurray.
