We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and ensure the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing kitchen operations, managing food safety standards, and inspiring team members to achieve culinary excellence in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with high quality and consistency, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards
Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food service personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and teamwork
Manage food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
Oversee food inventory, ordering supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels for daily operations
Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to ensure timely delivery of orders and customer satisfaction
Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and restaurant policies
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained
Collaborate with restaurant management to develop menus that align with customer preferences and current food trends
Lead by example in providing excellent service, serving guests when necessary, and fostering a positive work environment
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management with a strong background in the food industry
Supervising experience in a culinary setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Strong understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence
Previous experience in restaurant or kitchen environments preferred
Ability to oversee multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail
