We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious dishes that exceed our guests' expectations while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires strong leadership abilities to manage kitchen staff effectively and foster a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Create traditional South Indian dishes like dosa, idli, uttapam, sambar, rasam, vada, pongal, and various chutneys.
Cook meals with attention to taste, texture, and presentation.
Maintain consistency in flavor and quality.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared according to established recipes and standards.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
Prepare meals on time, especially for breakfast and dinner.
Handle multiple dishes simultaneously
Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation, making adjustments as necessary.
Handle customer feedback professionally to enhance the dining experience.
Experience
Proven experience in the food service industry, preferably in a restaurant .
Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
Previous team management experience is highly desirable.
Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creativity in food preparation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
