Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Head Chef to join our team. The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high-quality culinary experiences for our guests.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative menus and recipes
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Collaborate with management to develop seasonal offerings and special event menus
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Prepare the curry base and orders
- Train new kitchen employees
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Understanding of food safety practices and health regulations
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or relevant field preferred
