As an HR Specialist, you'll have an exciting opportunity to develop new HR policies and procedures, streamline the existing process, identify any gaps in our processes, policies, or procedures and propose solutions to address these.Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day activities are compliant and in line with HR best practices and our Employee Handbook Keep up-to-date with current government regulations and prepare necessary company policies Create job postings, screen resumes, and conduct phone interviews Conduct onboarding sessions for newly hired employees Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks Manage parking and building access passes for all employees Payroll and benefits processing/administration Coordinate all office and kitchen supply orders and ensure timely delivery Answer telephone calls, take messages, or forward calls Maintain and update employee records (hard and soft copies) Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations Assist in coordinating events to promote company culture and employee appreciationQualifications 2+ years of experience in a similar role is an asset Payroll experience Formal education in Business Administration specializing in Human Resources Strong attention to detail and accuracy The ability to critically analyze a situation and find the most effective way to problem solve Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
