Description:
Reporting to the VP - Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for all regional human resource matters including employee and labor relations, employee development, organizational development and change, performance management, and legal and regulatory compliance within assigned region. Manage 2-3 direct reports of professional employees. Please note this is an 18-month contract position starting in November 2025; this role requires being in office 5 days per week.
ResponsibilitiesLead the Regional Human Resources function, partnering closely with the business to develop and implement HR initiatives, strategies, best practices, policies and procedures Work collaboratively with the HR Shared Services team to execute the talent management lifecycle for employees including performance management, talent assessment, development and succession planning. Oversee or conduct investigations involving alleged misconduct and policy violation issues (e.g., discrimination and harassment); make recommendation to senior management on resolution and prevention measures. Actively partner with the regional management team in the establishment of the strategic direction for the business, including identification of organizational development needs and overall alignment of HR programs to achieve business results. Ensure all employment practices, compensation, employee benefits, disability and onboarding are managed within the limits of nationally established standards, procedures, guidelines and policies. Maintain communication and liaise with the HR Shared Services team on HR related issues; maintain a high degree of confidentiality with employee and company information. Partner with managers providing them with coaching, guidance and continuous feedback, as well as assisting them in developing strategies to enhance overall employee satisfaction and alignment with business strategies. Coach and counsel management on various employee related processes including performance management, talent management, and employee discipline. Escalate serious matters as required. Manage the Regional HR annual budget. Develop and implement a workforce and human resources planning framework in collaboration with the business to plan for development and success of talent. Recommend and implement procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover Guide and oversee positive resolution of employee relations issues. Provide partnership to the business, consulting on employment law, labor relations, talent management, employee relations, and employee development Lead the development and implementation of programs that will drive increased employee engagement and commitment levels. Partner and advise managers on hiring, promotions and terminations Work with management and the union leadership to find optimal solutions to issues through joint meetings and ongoing relationship development Partner with management and HR team to ensure compliance with Collective Agreements; assist in interpreting collective agreements Participate on or lead the negotiations team in collective bargaining, providing insight, advice and counselling to the labour relations specialist and operational leadership. Partner with HR Shared Services to design, develop and implement national training and development programs based identified organizational needs. Partner with HR Shared Services on the succession planning process and its implications to leaders and successors. Maintain adherence to quality and food safety program standards to ensure food safety, quality and legal requirements are being met

RequirementsUniversity degree in Human Resources Management or Labour Relations. CPHR designation required. 5-7 years' progressive Human Resources experience with a minimum of 2 years in leadership Ability to work well under pressure, individually and as part of a team. Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Ability to influence and persuade senior management level Pragmatic problem-solving skills Ability to convey difficult and challenging information Proficient in MS Office software Excellent communication, coaching, leadership, and people management skills. Ability to support and project values compatible with the organization

Working ConditionsTravel to other sites beyond local area 10-15% of time Overtime may be required.

ResponsabilitesDiriger la fonction ressources humaines regionale, en collaborant etroitement avec les divers services de l'entreprise a l'elaboration et a la mise en oeuvre d'initiatives, de strategies, de pratiques exemplaires, de politiques et de procedures RH; Collaborer avec l'equipe des services partages pour gerer le processus de gestion du personnel, notamment la gestion du rendement, l'evaluation des talents, le perfectionnement et la planification de la releve; Superviser et mettre en oeuvre des enquetes portant sur des allegations d'inconduite et de violation des politiques (p. ex., discrimination et harcelement) ; faire des recommandations a la haute direction sur les mesures a prendre pour les resoudre et les prevenir; Collaborer activement avec l'equipe de direction regionale a l'elaboration de l'orientation strategique de l'entreprise, notamment en ce qui concerne l'identification des besoins en matiere de developpement organisationnel et l'harmonisation des programmes et systemes de RH pour atteindre les objectifs de l'entreprise; S'assurer que toutes les pratiques en matiere d'emploi, de remuneration, d'avantages sociaux, d'invalidite et d'integration soient conformes aux normes, procedures, directives et politiques etablies; Maintenir la communication avec les services partages des ressources humaines pour les questions relatives aux RH; s'assurer de garder un haut niveau de confidentialite a l'egard des employe(es) et des renseignements sur l'entreprise; Fournir aux gestionnaires un encadrement, des conseils et une retroaction continue, et les aider a elaborer des strategies visant a ameliorer la satisfaction globale du personnel et leur adhesion aux strategies commerciales; Encadrer et conseiller la direction sur divers processus lies au personnel, notamment la gestion du rendement, la gestion des talents et la discipline du personnel. Transmettre les problemes graves au niveau hierarchique plus eleve si necessaire; Gerer le budget annuel des ressources humaines regionales; Elaborer et mettre en place un cadre de planification des effectifs et des ressources humaines en collaboration avec les cadres des divers services de l'entreprise afin de planifier le perfectionnement et la reussite des talents; Proposer et mettre en place des mesures visant a minimiser l'absenteisme et le roulement de personnel; Encadrer et surveiller la gestion efficace des conflits interpersonnels entre les membres du personnel; Etablir un partenariat avec les divers services de l'entreprise, en fournissant des conseils sur le droit du travail, les relations de travail, la gestion des talents, les relations avec les employe(es) et le perfectionnement des employe(es); Diriger la creation et la mise en oeuvre de programmes visant a renforcer l'engagement et la fidelisation du personnel; Collaborer avec les gestionnaires et les conseiller en matiere d'embauche, de promotion et de licenciement; Travailler avec la direction et les responsables syndicaux afin de trouver des solutions optimales aux problemes grace a des reunions conjointes et au renforcement continu des relations; Collaborer avec la direction et l'equipe RH afin de garantir le respect des conventions collectives ; aider a l'interpretation des conventions collectives; Faire partie de l'equipe de negociation des conventions collectives ou la diriger, en fournissant des informations, des conseils et des recommandations au/a la specialiste des relations de travail et a la direction operationnelle; Collaborer avec les services partages des RH pour concevoir, elaborer et mettre en place des programmes nationaux de formation et de perfectionnement bases sur les besoins organisationnels; Collaborer avec les services partages des ressources humaines pour le processus de planification de la releve et ses implications pour les gestionnaires et la releve; Veiller au respect des normes de qualite et de securite alimentaire afin de garantir la securite et la qualite des aliments et le respect des exigences legales.

Exigences:Diplome universitaire en gestion des ressources humaines ou en relations de travail. Titre de CRHA requis; 5 a 7 ans d'experience en ressources humaines, au sein de roles a responsabilites croissantes, dont 2 ans dans un poste de gestion; Capacite a travailler sous pression, individuellement ou au sein d'une equipe; Competences averees en resolution de conflits et en negociation; Capacite a influencer et a persuader les membres de la haute direction; Capacite a resoudre des problemes de maniere pragmatique; Capacite a transmettre des informations difficiles a devoiler et complexes; Maitrise des logiciels de la suite MS Office; Excellentes competences en communication, en accompagnement professionnel, en leadership et en gestion de personnel; Capacite a soutenir et a vehiculer des valeurs compatibles avec celles de l'entreprise.
