Human Resources Director

Are you a passionate human resource director or looking to join a new a career? In this role you will be serving as a business partner to all levels of management and work to maintain and engage a safe and healthy work environment. The HR Director role will report directly to Company President and Group VP of HR.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:

  • Well-developed coaching skills for all levels of the organization
  • Create HR metrics for measuring overall department success and areas of improvement
  • Create reporting to provide high level summaries on all measurable areas of the department
  • Strong foundation and knowledge of principles & practice of HR including employment law & compliance requirements
  • Execute/administer performance reviews, salary reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
  • Set up HR requirements for project mobilization (pre-employment requirements, project reporting instructions, hire on package documentation, etc)
  • Investigate & resolve complaints while working with management to ensure employee engagement
  • Lead collective bargaining, review, and administer agreements. Review & respond to grievances.
  • Ensure the Company is following all applicable legislation.
  • Proven ability to effectively coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues
  • Placing phone calls to interested candidates
  • Proven knowledge of full lifecycle recruiting components to include sourcing; qualifying; networking; assessing; selling and wage/salary trends

  • Strong client management skills
  • Create advertising and other methods of marketing for open positions
Your strengths include:
  • 8 + years in HR experience with a combination of HR Business Partner, HR Leader and supervisory experience preferred.
  • Multisite location client support experience is a plus
  • HR related certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in coaching employees and management through complex, difficult issues
  • Strong working knowledge of Employment Standards and Labor Law
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed.
  • Physical requirements: normal office environment, ability to sit, stand and operation office equipment.
