Summary: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Director, Human Resources acts as a business partner to all client groups, provides sound guidance and advice to management and team members on human resources management-related matters in accordance with applicable legislations and internal policies and processes. The Human Resources Director provides recommendations, develops and implements solutions to assist the business groups and the organization achieve improvements in areas including but not limited to talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, management effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

  • Leads recruitment efforts by developing and maintaining a robust talent pipeline and providing expertise in the areas of talent identification, planning and development, and the implementation of talent management solutions
  • Provides recommendations, develops and implements solutions in employee engagement and satisfaction, recruitment, leadership career development
  • Lead the ongoing evolution of the Performance Management program to support a culture based on high performance and talent development
  • Manage and enhance the Talent Review Cycle that engages management on high priority focus areas, uses analytics and insights from multiple sources, and is supported by consistent reporting and metrics
  • Lead the Succession Planning process including management of the succession plan, competency framework, analytics and reporting, governance, and implementation of enabling technology
  • Support executive and board reporting on key talent metrics
  • Define solutions to enable career management, including articulating the philosophy and creating a career framework with career path and development options
  • Serve as a role model for demonstrating the Company’s values

Work Experience, Education and Certification:
  • 5+ years of work experience in a human resources leadership role managing a broad range of talent-related disciplines including: talent acquisition, employer branding, learning, leadership development, performance management and succession planning, within a complex organization
  • Demonstrated experience developing strong, effective working relationships and networks with key internal/external stakeholders and relevant external organizations
  • Thorough knowledge of human resources management-related legislations such as the Employment Standards Act applicable to assigned Canadian provinces, US states and global markets.
  • Expertise in talent management, including a focus on talent acquisition and retention, succession planning, talent development, leadership and performance management
  • General understanding and knowledge of human resources management disciplines including but not limited to compensation, pension and benefits, labor relations, training
  • University degree preferably in Business Administration or Human Resources, additional human resource/organizational development certifications preferred
  • CHRL Designation

Terms: Full time, permanent role with competitive compensation package including stock options and annual bonus. This role is a hybrid of remote/ downtown Toronto office environment.
