As the Kaycan Canada Human Resources Director, you will play a vital role in developing and executing HR strategies that align with the company\'s objectives and support the overall growth and success of the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition (support from the talent acquisition team will be offered), employee relations, performance management, compliance, policies and procedures, and employee development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company\'s goals and objectives.
  • Develop strategic workforce planning processes and practices, identifying key roles for business success and sustainability.
  • Manage employee relations, ensuring a positive work environment and handling any conflicts or issues that arise (in collaboration with Legal and Compliance teams where appropriate and in line with SGNA protocol).
  • Lead performance management initiatives, including performance evaluations, goal setting, and career development plans.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of applicable legislation.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures (in line with SGNA policies), ensuring they align with legal requirements and best practices in Canada.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee development and engagement.
  • In collaboration with SGNA Total Rewards team oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance in Canada.
  • Conduct training and workshops on HR-related topics to promote employee development and maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in HR, and proactively apply this knowledge to drive continuous improvement in HR practices within the organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal or a related field; or 10-15 years of experience in the similar role.
  • Proven experience as an HR Director or similar leadership role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and employee development.
  • Ability to strategically align HR initiatives with business objectives.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
