  • This position provides the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays each week, with the requirement to report to the primary NOVA Chemicals work location on Tuesdays through Thursdays. Employees can opt out of the hybrid schedule and will be expected to work Monday-Friday from the primary work location.

As a strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP), you will deliver meaningful insights to business leaders as well as advocate and champion the organizational values, culture and HR service delivery model within the business. The HRBP also plays a significant coaching role with business leaders to enable leadership capability and capacity within their function.You Will Use Your Expertise To:
  • Be an active participant at the leadership table by providing insight on business issues and advocating for people and organizational priorities.
  • Provide education, advice, coaching and consulting to business leaders.
  • Translate business demands and needs into HR people strategy and ensure consistency with organization standards.
  • Support the business on key HR activities such as Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Organizational Design and Change Leadership.
  • Influence the design of HR programs and the roll out of programs designed in partnership with HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs).
  • Provide feedback on HR services to HR Operations and Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
  • Offer subject matter expertise in change leadership for client change projects using the disciplined approach of the NOVA Change Leadership Framework.
  • Provide direction and targeted coaching on utilizing the NOVA Change Leadership Framework.
  • Work with leaders to identify and act on specific opportunities to enhance team and organizational effectiveness.
  • Provide a reliable and predictable client experience across the organization through consistent application and alignment of HR policies, programs and practices.
  • Assists leaders in the design and delivery of appropriate and pro-active interventions to enhance employee engagement.
What We Are Looking For:
  • University graduate (preferably in Commerce or Human Resource Management) with 10+ years of related experience and continued professional development or typically 14+ years combination of post-secondary education and experience and continued professional development.
  • Superior communication and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues across the organization.
  • Strong coaching skills, ability to influence, organizational awareness and managerial courage.
  • Change Leadership experience.
  • Ability to earn support from key stakeholders through their ability to influence change.
  • Apply judgment to data to support business decision making.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • Results orientation with ability to proactively anticipate issues/business needs and take initiative to recommend solutions.
  • Able to develop, evaluate and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Possess agility to effectively manage multiple priorities and adjust heavy workload and changing priorities.
  • High degree of initiative, innovation and ability to take on projects with minimal direction.

  • Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
  • This role requires up to 10% travel
