Position: Human Resources Business Partner
Location: Downtown Toronto, hybrid work model
Job Type: 18-month contract

About us:

We are a leading recruitment firm assisting a prominent organization in downtown Toronto in finding top talent. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join the dynamic Talent team in Toronto. This is an 18-month contract position with a hybrid work model based in downtown Toronto.

Position Overview:

Our client is looking for a seasoned HRBP capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. This strategic and hands-on role involves providing end-to-end Talent/HR support across the organization. The successful candidate will manage and implement Talent programs, including those related to compensation, recruitment, talent management, and change management. A strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a high-change environment are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and staff regarding employee relations, talent management, performance coaching, and health and safety
- Deliver programs and processes related to recruitment, onboarding, performance coaching, employee engagement, and compensation
- Plan and execute the entire talent acquisition process, including posting jobs, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, and processing background checks
- Conduct on/off-boarding processes to ensure a smooth candidate and employee experience
- Provide support for learning and development initiatives, performance coaching programs, employee engagement, social committees, and presentation development
- Manage HR technology and related applications, contributing to continuous process improvement
- Develop a strong understanding of business functions and needs, providing guidance to leaders and stakeholders
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Talent function by influencing HR strategies, policies, and practices
- Perform day-to-day administrative support, including maintaining electronic employee files, ensuring data quality in HRIS, and updating employee documents

Required Experience:

- Bachelor\'s Degree in Human Resources or a related field
- 4+ years of Human Resources experience, with 2-3 years in an HR Business Partner role
- Experience in Financial Services is an asset
- CHRP designation (or working towards completion)
- Previous ERP/HRIS experience is a must
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Employment Law and Practices
- Functional expertise in compensation, performance coaching, employee relations, talent management, coaching, and development
