HSE Compliance Coordinator - Hybrid

Description

We are looking for a talented HSE Compliance Coordinator to join our team specializing in Service for our Distribution Business.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Provides administrative technical support for key health and safety initiatives coordinating data collection checking for accuracy, reporting through required HSE systems, maintaining records for occupational health and safety training and coordinating and assisting in meeting preparations.

Maintains local health and safety policies and procedures.

Maintains local regulatory health and safety requirements.

Maintains confidentiality and appropriate recordkeeping standards in line with corporate data protection and retention requirements.

Builds an understanding of HSE culture and apply to business processes.

Stops work and immediately reports any major injury hazards.

Reports any work-related injury, illness, incident or hazard.

Communicates effectively to create safety awareness.

Tracks and reports required monthly metrics to the enterprise incident management system.

Builds and maintains site health and safety training content.

Coordinates and assists in delivery of health and safety training programs.

Participates in health and safety inspection and audit programs.

Maintains training records and assist in trends analysis.

Provides appropriate data reports as requested and assist in trends analysis.

Supports health, safety and wellness initiatives.

Coordinates local employee engagement initiatives to drive an interdependent culture.

Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures.

Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

Performs quality checks.

Identifies and controls non-conforming material.

Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams.

Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements.

Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Effective Communication Skills - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

A College, University or equivalent degree in Industrial Safety or related field preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft office applications required.

Experience

Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

A core responsibility of this position in Canada is to manage the customer HSE compliance portals (ISN, Avetta, Complyworks). The coordinator must ensure the compliance portals which Cummins subscribes as required by our customers remains in good standing.

Additional HSE support is provided to the Canada Service Operations teams by coordinating necessary customer specific training to technicians to enable them to gain site access (E-railSafe, H2S, Portal specific training).

Other key responsibilities include management of the annual Certificate of Insurance renewal process. This includes liaison between the customers and Cummins 3rd party insurance provider.

The HSE Compliance coordinator will also support stakeholders in the HSE Team and Service Operations to manage HSE software tools including S2web, CSSNA CLC training, and administer the Canada HSE program updates.

This is a Hybrid position and the incumbent can reside at any location in Canada.
