Job Description


Safety & Compliance Coordinator Mission As a Safety and Compliance Coordinator for SFX Transport you will be a key component in the smooth operation and success of our Safety strategy across SFX. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for an energetic, highly motivated, self-sufficient, detail-oriented individual who has a passion for transportation and safety. Role This position includes responsibility for a wide variety of functions that support our security and compliance goals, including, but not limited to:

  • accident resolution, including first point of contact after an accident
  • Conduct accident reviews, with recommendations for post-accident training and root cause analysis
  • Driver compliance monitoring and analysis
  • Review jurisdictional repatriations for non-compliance (CVOR, USDOT, drivers abstracts)
  • Recommend and implement improvement and/or reduction measures in all areas such as: traffic violations, CVOR/USDOT violations, accident rates, WCB frequency, and accident reporting maintenance of owner-operator equipment.
  • Recommend and implement corrective actions in response to accidents and incidents
  • Develop a schedule for pre-departure monitoring of the driver in the yard and documentation of all monitoring interactions
  • Provide training as required (corrective actions after the accident, dangerous goods, etc.)
  • Promote SFX Transport as a job destination of choice at various recruiting events as needed.
  • Assist in the ongoing communication of safety, security, environmental and compliance updates/changes to a large and diverse group of drivers
  • Use appropriate resources to maintain and improve current knowledge of all aspects of transportation industry regulatory requirements
  • Monitor driver performance with OmniTracs and other performance monitoring softwares
Requirements:
  • Passion for working as part of a team to reach common goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent group presentation skills
  • Great attention to detail, good time management and organizational skills
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Canadian and US highways, safety and security practices \xe2\x80\x93 CVOR, US DOT FMCSR, Hours of Service, CSA, Load Securement, HazMat/Dangerous Goods, C-TPAT/FAST would be a huge asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits:
