Job Summary Under the leadership of the Manager, Technology Business Process & Compliance, this role is accountable for coordinating and monitoring processes related to our business and compliance processes. These include General Computer Controls (GCC) testing, Production Control, Access Review, Software Review, and Program Delivery Group (PDG) (NAV CANADA\xe2\x80\x99s project management office (PMO)) process liaison. Other responsibilities include Policy management, documenting and coordinating process reviews, and identifying opportunities for improvements, such as process efficiencies, metrics or quality assurance.

Key Accountabilities
  • Acting as liaison between Internal Controls Office (ICO), Internal Audit (IA) and Technology groups for GCC testing and other internal audits of our business systems.
  • Acting as liaison (record, track and report) for any remediation activities of findings related to GCC testing and other internal audits.
  • Coordinating the Technology group participation in the annual GCC framework review.
  • Assisting with the ongoing monitoring and review of Production Control activities (Change Management) to help ensure adherence to the Change Management Policy.
  • Coordinating the quarterly Access Review (AIR) for system access, including Privileged Access.
  • Managing the workflow associated with the Software Review process, which now includes the legacy Cloud Governance process (CGB).
  • Supporting the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) organization with PDG and related processes, liaising on activities leading up to Investment Committee reviews, Financial Budget preparations, monthly Project Status Reports (PSR\xe2\x80\x99s), as applicable.
  • Maintaining the applicable departmental policies; ensuring they are reviewed and approved according to the required schedule, and are kept up to date, communicated and made accessible for employee use.
  • Periodically assisting with process reviews applicable to the CTO organization; coordinating the review process, and documenting process revisions.
  • Assisting with other processes, such as the Safety Findings review, that may be assigned to the CTO organization.
  • Supporting the CISO by scheduling and chairing the Cyber Security Governance Board (CSGB) quarterly meetings and CSGB working group meetings. Manage the CSGB SharePoint site including managing and updating action item log. Assist CISO with meeting material preparation and distribution of Meeting Minutes.
  • Wherever possible, identifying opportunities for improvements, in terms of process efficiencies, metrics, quality, etc.
Education:
  • College diploma or University degree in a business-related discipline or an acceptable combination of education, experience, and training.
Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years working in an office environment with responsibilities supporting business processes and workflows specific to an Engineering, IT or Technology function.
  • Experience in developing documentation (such as user guides, training materials, procedures, standards and guidelines).
Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of the applicable key processes, such as GCC, AIR, Software Review, and others as required.
Ability:
  • Ability to review and evaluate documentation (such as policies, processes and procedures), and to propose improvements.
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate meetings, capturing key discussion points, decisions and action items.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Working conditions:
  • The work location is the Ottawa TSC. Alternate NAV CANADA work locations within Ottawa may also be considered.
