Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales Operations Hospitals & Specialized Distribution, the Business Process Lead analyzes and measures the effectiveness of Sales Operations and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements. The incumbent develops methodology and leads cross-functional team initiatives, such as the onboarding of new business partners and business transitions. The Business Process Lead researches best practices and standards within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data, collects and analyzes process data to initiate, develop, and recommend business practices and procedures that focus on enhanced Sales Operations performance. The incumbent will research and propose new tools, information technology, processes and metrics that can drive efficiency gains. The Business Process Lead develops, leads and implements continuous improvement initiatives enabling distribution performance, by working closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, McKesson Specialty Health, Supply and Demand Planning, Operations, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Quality, IT and manufacturer partners.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Develops best practices and documentation for onboarding new distribution business, according to client needs and contractual agreements.
  • Leads and executes business project implementations, ensuring all key critical success factors are met or exceeded; develops mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Builds, implements and facilitates business performance and processes using a proven methodology to maximize value to the organization.
  • Leads, analyzes and measures the effectiveness of supply chain, assesses risks and develops sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements.
  • Researches best business practices to establish benchmark data and analyzes process data to develop business procedures that drive efficiency and productivity through the supply chain.
  • Identifies and implements continuous business process improvement initiatives by performing trend analysis on activities that impact key department metrics or supply chain performance; optimizes the business flows with customers (example: claims management; reverse logistics; inventory control).
  • Leads technology enhancement and change management initiatives with internal and external stakeholders (examples: allocation tool, backorder functionality for 3PL, etc.).
  • Identifies and implements information technologies that support the reengineering of the Specialized Distribution and Hospitals performance management of business processes.
  • Facilitates supply chain performance management meetings and leads the exchange of information, data and business insights, by working closely with key internal stakeholders, including Operations, Quality, Transportation, Finance, IT, Customer Service, Sales, namely.
  • Drives collaboration and mobilizes stakeholders in seeking and implementing advanced processes and methods for accurate and timely supply chain performance management.
  • Works with team members to implement standards, tools and metrics related to performance, quality and compliance, information sharing, EDI and service effectiveness.
  • Is responsible for aggregating insights, analytics and supply chain performance information, building and delivering presentations to senior management, internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads supply chain and business process improvements and works cross-functionally to enhance and drive efficiency; establishes process maps (Visio) and trains team members on new process flows.
  • Collaborates with peers within the larger McKesson organization to exchange on leading practices and stay abreast of market, industry trends and conditions, as well as technological advances.
  • Identifies and addresses operational performance matters that impact business results or expose the organization to business or regulatory risks.
  • Maintains relevant business knowledge of products and manufacturers.
  • Fosters a culture of performance, continuous improvement and collaboration with Management and peers and acts as a McKesson ambassador of corporate values.

Position Requirements

Working Experience
  • 10 years? experience in pharmaceutical environment (3PL distribution experience an asset).
  • Retail/Wholesale/Manufacturing//Specialty Programs/Pharmacy experience an asset.

Education
  • University degree in relevant discipline.
  • PMP, SCMP, CSCP or Six Sigma/Lean designations are assets.

  • Knowledge of supply chain fundamentals and project management. Knowledge of S&OP an asset.
  • Proven skills in process design, implementation and change management.

As part of Total Rewards, we are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$97,200 - $162,000
