Job Description


We are offering an opportunity for a HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team based in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada. This role is integral to our operations, dealing with recruitment, health and safety, and payroll for about 40 employees. You will be expected to utilize various software like Bamboo HR and Deltek Ajira to carry out your responsibilities efficiently.Responsibilities:

  • Managing the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting initial interviews.
  • Overseeing payroll functions to ensure timely and accurate payment of wages.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and implementing measures to enhance employee safety.
  • Using Bamboo HR and Deltek Ajira software for various HR and payroll tasks.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks related to HR and payroll, including maintaining employee records.
  • Coordinating benefits administration and 401k - RRSP administration.
  • Conducting regular audits to ensure accuracy in all HR and payroll-related matters.
  • Utilizing accounting software systems to maintain financial records.
  • Utilizing Crystal Reports for generating various HR and payroll reports.
  • Managing any inquiries or issues related to HR and payroll.
Your skills in Accounting Software Systems, Crystal Reports, 401k - RRSP Administration, About Time, Accounting Functions, Auditing, and Benefit Functions will be essential to succeed in this role.
  • Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an HR & Payroll Specialist.
  • Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for managing financial data.
  • Must have hands-on experience with Bamboo HR for managing tasks such as hiring, onboarding, and attendance tracking.
  • Familiarity with Crystal Reports for generating reports from a wide range of data sources.
  • Proficient in 401k - RRSP Administration for managing retirement savings plans.
  • Experience with About Time software for managing workforce, projects, and assets in real-time.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Functions including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Experience in Auditing, verifying the accuracy of financial records and ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Must have experience managing Benefit Functions, including establishing, maintaining, and managing employee benefits programs
