Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion looks with enthusiasm and precision.
Apply hair color using advanced color theory principles to achieve desired results while maintaining safety standards.
Install and customize hair extensions to enhance volume and length, ensuring seamless integration and client satisfaction.
Conduct hair threading and eyelash extension procedures to offer comprehensive beauty solutions.
Provide expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance client results and salon revenue.
Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail inventory tracking.
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and equipment regularly to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
Mentor junior stylists and apprentices by sharing techniques in hair styling, coloring, and customer service excellence.
Support store management in daily operations, including inventory management and sales upselling strategies to maximize profitability.
Stay current with industry trends in hair styling, barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves, makeup application, nail care, and retail math for effective upselling.
Requirements
Valid cosmetology or barbering license with proven experience in professional hair styling.
Proficiency in advanced techniques such as hair extensions, coloring theory, straight razor shaving, eyelash extensions, and nail care is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills to connect effectively with diverse clients and team members.
Experience operating salon software like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
Knowledge of sanitation protocols to uphold the highest hygiene standards within the salon environment.
Ability to perform retail sales confidently through upselling complementary products such as hair care items or makeup products.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that fosters repeat business and positive reviews.
