Responsibilities

Provide expert hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, and special occasion styles tailored to each client's preferences. Perform advanced coloring techniques using sound knowledge of color theory to achieve vibrant, natural, or trendy looks. Apply hair extensions safely and seamlessly to enhance volume and length according to client requests. Conduct barbering services such as straight razor shaves and precise fades with skill and attention to detail. Deliver eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application to complete clients' beauty transformations. Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations. Utilize salon software like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking. Engage clients through excellent communication skills, understanding their needs, offering professional advice, and upselling retail products confidently. Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and handling payments efficiently. Support store management by mentoring new team members and contributing to a positive team environment. Promote retail sales of hair care products, cosmetics, nail care items, and accessories through effective upselling strategies. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hair styling, coloring techniques, and beauty treatments to provide innovative services.

Experience

Valid Red Seal certification as a Hair Stylist or Barbering professional with proven experience in a salon setting. Strong knowledge of hair extensions application techniques and color theory principles. Experience with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management preferred. Demonstrated expertise in hair styling, cutting, coloring, eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, and hair threading. Familiarity with sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele. Previous store management or mentoring experience is advantageous but not required. Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling products while maintaining professionalism.
